Choosing a school that is most appropriate to the individual needs of a child, is a major decision for parents. Many questions arise but the most important is whether the school’s educational and social philosophy meets the parent’s own expectations and standards.
Excelsior American School’s philosophy is based on the principle that each child will achieve their personal best in all areas of their development! Children are like flowers, they blossom when nourished with love and care. At Excelsior American School, we believe that each child has qualities that will help the child to become like a sweet smelling flower so that he/she can add value to environment around them.
At Excelsior, education involves the development of self inspired children. It is important for all children to acquire skills that will help them survive and grow in the society. It is also equally important for them to help the society grow along with their individual growth. And that is why we encourage our students to be intellectually curious and morally strong.
Excelsior being an international school with students from diverse cultures, our students learn sensitivity and respect for different religions, traditions, languages. Students get a unique opportunity to truly engage with and learn from others who may be different in myriad ways, including national origin, socioeconomic class, race, ethnicity, or disability status. Our students work independently as well as cooperatively, learning to respect the needs of others as well as their own. All this takes place in a multicultural environment that embraces diversity and teaches children to celebrate their cultural heritage as well as of others!
As they are gently nudged to grow into responsible and compassionate global citizens, the school emphasises on every student being honest, fair and ethical. Their confidence in their own convictions will give them the courage to stand up for what is correct as they face the tough challenges of today’s competitive world.

Selecting the right school for your child can be a daunting task for parents today, especially, when there are a plethora of options available for them. The most important factors that parents look for in a school are quality of education, extra-curricular activities, well-trained faculty, sound infrastructure, safety and security and a warm and caring environment.
At Excelsior American School each student thrives in a nurturing environment that creates a balance between social and emotional well being besides academic success. They have the confidence to solve problems, collaboration skills to work with others and the resilience to stay on task when things fall apart.
As Mahatma Gandhi said, “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever”. Excelsior promotes a motto of ‘Self Inspired Learning’ that helps the child to become a life-long learner. Our trained faculty encourages children to put in the effort to learn and be capable of doing things in a confident manner. The low student-teacher ratio supports individual attention for each student.

We value each student as an individual and ensure that each child reaches his or her full potential not only intellectually but also emotionally.
At Excelsior, we maintain the right balance between academics and co-curricular activities. Our state-of-the-art Sports Complex and trained coaches for each sport encourage children to participate and excel in their favourite sports.
We endorse a strong parent-teacher relationship and encourage parents to be active participants in school events. We also organize ‘Coffee Mornings’ regularly for parents that give them an opportunity to meet and interact with other parents to build a strong bond. The coffee mornings are also an informal platform to meet the leadership team of the school.
